Karijini, Pilbara and more

Photography isn’t just my occupation. It is also a passion. So when I go on holiday my cameras are there with me. May 2010 saw me travel north for 10 days. The main focus of the trip was the magnificent Karijini National Park in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Add the varied little towns on the way north, the magic of our unique coast and the star laden skies and you have a stunning variety of locations to choose from. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did taking them. As I have time to process them I will be adding to this collection.

  1. Great shots to remember your holidays. As much as I love my job, I don’t have the same passion to keep shooting when I’m on vacation.

  2. I really love these photos of the Kimberly, Karol! I worked up in Halls Creek a few years ago and remember the countryside fondly. Its really good as a pro photographer for inspiration to go on trips like this.

  8. Wow, fantastic shots, some of the sky pictures look unreal. Really love the old guy against the old building. You excell in nature study photos. Good work, well done, matie.

  9. Love the old man photo, and the milky way photos. I’ve been dabbling in Milky Way photos too. It’s fun when you can add that element to landscapes.

  12. Thanks Adam, I love my landscape photography and I think it is a good fit with my weddings and portraits. The Kariini trip was amazing and I could have spent a lot longer there. WA has such stunning locations. I was lucky to photograph a wedding in Karijini in 2009 and we had a lot of fun with a trash the dress session the day after the wedding. The dress didn’t really get trashed but it sure was red by the time we finished. Carol
